A familiar name to Dave Canales and Bryce Young is signing with the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers are hiring Dallas Cowboys quality coach and offensive assistant Will Harriger as the team's new quarterback coach, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

He has worked with Canales before and he already worked with Young, making the hire one of familiarity.

During Harriger's 20-year career, he spent a four-year stint with the Seattle Seahawks from 2014 to 2018. That was when he worked with Canales, who worked with Geno Smith during his time in Seattle.

On top of his experience in Seattle, Harriger worked for the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Panthers mainly hired Harriger to help rebuild Young's confidence. He already has a history with Young. He worked with the Panthers signal caller during his time with the QB Collective, a developmental program for high school quarterbacks.
