The 2025 NFL Draft is just a little over a week away and top draft experts are starting to publish their final mock drafts of the season.
ESPN's Mel Kiper finished his final solo mock draft a few days ago, but he linked up with his colleague Field Yates on Tuesday to release a joint 3-round mock draft where the two top experts alternated selections.
It led to an interesting result, and for the Chicago Bears it looked like a home run draft by filling all four needs in the first three rounds. Here's what the mocked looked like for the Bears specifically.
10. Tyler Warren, TE Penn State
"New coach Ben Johnson would love having Warren in his offense. At 6-foot-6, Warren lines up just about anywhere, will consistently be a mismatch for defenders and can catch everything thrown in his neighborhood. The Bears focused on improving their offensive line in free agency, and now they can get Caleb Williams an elite playmaker." – Mel Kiper
My analysis: Tyler Warren seems like the highest probability to be the Bears' selection in the opening round of the draft. The team remains high on Ashton Jeanty but the likelihood he's available at 10 is much lower than with Warren.
Head coach Ben Johnson spoke highly of Warren's potential during the NFL League Meetings and shared defensive coordinator Dennis Allen feels the same way. Adding a player who can line up anywhere on the field gives this offense a legit multi-faceted weapon.
39. TreVeyon Henderson, RB Ohio State
"The Bears aren't messing around on offense here. First, they got Tyler Warren. Now they can get Caleb Williams an explosive runner in the backfield. Henderson averaged 7.1 yards per carry last season and can run away from the defense." – Field Yates
My analysis: As for this selection, the Bears haven't met with TreVeyon Henderson on a Top-30 visit, but running backs coach Eric Bieniemy is believed to be really high on this guy given his ability to block at a high level while offering value as an additional receiver, fitting what Johnson had in Detroit in Jahmyr Gibbs. The question is more so, would Henderson be around at pick 39?
The other issue I have with drafting Henderson is how similar he is to D'Andre Swift in terms of skill set. Personally, someone like Iowa's Kaleb Johnson would make for a better RB pairing in the backfield and he's someone who met with the team this week.
41. Nic Scourton, DE Texas A&M
"The Bears are back on the clock, and this time I have them tapping into the power and deep pass-rush move arsenal of Scourton. He had 15 sacks in the past two seasons and is stout against the run." – Yates
My analysis: This pick would be an incredible value for the Bears. Nic Scourton is the 6th ranked edge rusher and 32nd ranked prospect according to our A to Z Sports Mock Draft Database. Landing a player of his talent at pick 41 would be a steal.
Scourton is also an incredible fit in Dennis Allen's scheme but has a little smaller length than what Allen likes in his edge rushers. Regardless, Scourton has the strength to set the edge, is a young prospect, and was productive stat-wise.
72. Aireontae Ersery, OT Minnesota
"The Bears went after the interior of the offensive line in free agency, but Braxton Jones is coming off an ankle injury at left tackle. Ersery is a massive 6-foot-6 blocker with 39 career starts and great power." – Kiper
My analysis: Adding competition at left tackle seemed like more of a need earlier in the process based on what general manager Ryan Poles shared at the Combine, but that belief has started to cool down in recent weeks based on what Poles and Johnson relayed about the belief in Kiran Amegadjie.
Even still, the value is too hard to pass up with a guy like Aireontae Ersery in the third-round. Ersery is the 6th ranked offensive tackle and 40th ranked prospect according to our database. Once again this would be incredible value for a guy who can come in a push the competition at a critical position on offense.
