The Kansas City Chiefs were able to get a guy they went out and traded for back in Week 15, and head coach Andy Reid broke down how he did in his return from the hamstring injury.

Toney didn't play much, at all. However, the Chiefs were playing the Texans, who I'm sure everyone thought would be a game the Chiefs could just cruise by, even though it wasn't.

So it made sense for the Chiefs to pick that game to ease him back to.

Even when he didn't play though, he was still helping the team.

“Yeah, I loved his energy on the sideline," Reid said on Tuesday.

If you watch the game back, you will probably see a few times Toney came up to players to hype them up and bring some energy, even though he has been with the team for just a few months now.

"He got a total of 10 plays with the special teams involved, which is good – and he feels good, so we just take it gradually. Like Mecole (Hardman) when he gets back in the flow, just take it gradually and we’ll see if we can keep both of them rolling.”

This is the news we really wanted to hear though, as I think we all know that the occasional hamstring injury can be nagging, and can also easily come back.

I think most fans can't wait to see what Toney does in the playoffs as he starts getting back to his fully healthy self, and integrating into the offense more.
