The Kansas City Chiefs have two guys on their team that have caught Andy Reid's attention.

This time last year there was somewhat of a phenom going on on Chiefs Twitter, and really everywhere there were Chiefs fans. Justyn Ross, this time last year, signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, and Chiefs' Twitter went wild.

Most of it is because if this guy hadn't had the number of injuries he has had, he would easily have been a first-round pick, yet the Chiefs got him for free, really. Obviously, they paid him to stay a year, but, it didn't cost a draft pick.

Ross has all the talent in the world and the size, and guess what, the Chiefs got him. At this point, it's really just about staying healthy for Justyn Ross, which is why he missed all of last season, as he dealt with a foot injury. Now, he is looking to be more and more healthy, which could end up being scary for the Chiefs' 2023 opponents.

They have another Ross on the squad too in John Ross, and both of them are catching Andy Reid's attention in OTAs.

“I like both of the Ross’ (John and Justyn), big and little," Reid told the media. "So, the big one (Justyn Ross) is coming along. He feels good, his foot feels good (and) the surgery that he had worked out well up to this point. He’s made some nice plays for us out here. I know Pat’s (Mahomes) got trust in him, so that’s good to see. And the smaller Ross (John Ross) is extremely fast and quick. Before he got hurt, he was on to a pretty good season. I like what I see there, too.”

For John, he has an athletic ability that rarely comes around. He once broke the record at the NFL Draft Combine for the fastest 40-yard dash ever recorded with a 4.22, .02 faster than Chris Johnson, the former Tennessee Titans running back.

But also like Justyn, John has struggled with injuries, dealing with knee, groin, and shoulder injuries. Andy Reid has liked what he saw from him during OTAs as well.

“Well, he’s the one that jumped out at everybody at the combine just when he ran," Reid continued. "I mean, he was extremely fast. I think he set a record there, I believe. He can move, he can skedaddle and he’s smart, which you need to be in this thing.”

John was on track to have a pretty decent season in 2021, the last time he played. He had 11 catches for 224 yards, which is 20 yards per reception. That isn't amazing, or other worldly, but he was setting himself up to have a fairly decent season in a bad New York Giants offense before Mike Kafka got there.

The Chiefs could have two gems in the two Ross'.
