Shortly after winning the Super Bowl, one former member of the Kansas City Chiefs revealed he would love a reunion.

The Chiefs are still in dire need of some veteran presence on the squad. They have all the talent they need because this is largely the same team that won the Super Bowl a few months ago.

Last offseason, they signed a veteran edge rusher just before the season started. In training camp, we saw they moved to sign veteran Carlos Dunlap, the former Cincinnati Bengals and Seattle's defensive end.

Dunlap helped a ton. He could have had better stats in the world, but that is different from what he was brought in to do. He was a guy who helped bring along George Karlaftis and that veteran experience as a whole. In the playoffs, we saw that.

But the Chiefs signed him to a one-year deal last season and still have yet to re-sign him. But he recently revealed he is open to a reunion.

"I can help another team get one of their own or help the Chiefs again," Dunlap shared with Forbes. "The Chiefs haven't ruled that out, but currently, it's a waiting game."

The Chiefs still need a guy like Dunlap. We thought they could bring back Frank Clark, but that fell through based on some other things the Chiefs and Broncos did. Now, they could create more money if they were to sign Chris Jones to the extension we are all waiting for him to get.

Dunlap would be great for the Chiefs, who have a sophomore and a rookie expected to take a ton of snaps in a three-man edge rusher rotation, with Charles Omenihu as the other edge.

The Chiefs would make room for the Super Bowl champ.

"The Chiefs obviously have a special spot for me because they were the first team to help me win a playoff game and to win a Super Bowl," Dunlap continued. "So that would be a great opportunity."

The Chiefs love doing things at the last minute for some odd reason. After they sign Jones to his extension, they very well could sign Dunlap. But who knows? It would be a smart move, as he still registered four sacks when he did play.
