Chiefs: Nick Bolton confirms what was said at halftime to turn the defense around

The Kansas City Chiefs didn't play nearly as great in the first half as they did in the second half, and I think that's a fairly easy statement to say.
The defense had the biggest change from the first half to the second half. They were getting gashed by the Eagles. Then, something happened at halftime where the defense came out and started locking things down.
What was said in the locker room?
"Yeah, man, essentially just be us, but be us a little bit better," Bolton said after the game. "We left a couple of plays out there we could have made, explosive plays, a touchdown, so we had to come back and tackle a little bit better and also just bat a few balls down, contest a couple more catches, and kind of lead us into a win. So that's kind of what the mindset was for us, and we were able to execute that in the second half."
The Chiefs' defense did what they needed to do when they needed it most. Sure, in the first half, they had the scoop and score, but the defense didn't really create that fumble. Hurts really just dropped the ball, pun intended.
The defense forced a punt in the second half and then got a red zone stop forcing the Eagles to take a field goal. The defense is what changed the trajectory of the game. Sure, Mahomes was perfect in the second half, but the defense finally did something that allowed the Chiefs to get back on the field.
Bolton had a huge game himself, too. He had the fumble recovery for a touchdown, of course, but was also always around the ball. He finished with nine tackles, the most on the team.
This defense was huge in the second half, and while the focus will be on offense with what Mahomes did, and rightfully so, the defense needs some more love.
