When you go back and look at all the national media and their takes on who the MVP is so far this season, I can almost guarantee you not many said the Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Lavon Mahomes as the early favorite.

You will hear a lot of Josh Allen, or even Jalen Hurts, two guys who are playing out of their minds. However, they aren't Mahomes.

I think on Sunday he showed that he is still an MVP, and people should stop doubting him, or even stop leaving him out of the important conversations.

Mahomes was the MVP on Sunday night. He did literally everything, including showing who the real king is.

Let's get this straight first. Derrick Henry is the best running back in the league, and personally, I don't think it's close. He had an amazing first half, and in fact, had a game better than most running backs have in an entire game.

Henry finished the first half with 92 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries.

The second half was a completely different story.

I think the first-half stats by Henry just show how the Chiefs' defense wasn't really showing up just yet. Then, when you show the second-half stats by the Titans, you may get a bit embarrassed for them, but proud of the Chiefs' defense.

Oh, and Mahomes. I would be proud of Mahomes.

He had more rushing yards in the second half than the rushing king himself.

Henry had 8 carries, for 23 yards in the second half, which, if I'm a Titans fan, I'd be pissed.

Mahomes finished the game with 63 rushing yards in the game on six carries, and a rushing touchdown. He had the huge 3rd and 17 run, among a few others, that really broke the game open for Kansas City.

"I thought about throwing to Juju, but I had fully committed to running at that point," Mahomes said when asked about the game saving run. "We were just battling, trying to find a way to win. Our defense kept us in the game and we were able to do that."

Mahomes is on a different level right now, and against the Tennessee Titans, he showed that he is the MVP front-runner, or should be. If he isn't, then I don't know what else he has to do to get up there.
