The Cincinnati Bengals are the hottest ticket in town, and they have a legitimate chance to win the Super Bowl not just in 2023 but for years to come.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the main reason that's the case, it's quarterback Joe Burrow. He bounced back from the torn ACL/MCL he suffered during his rookie campaign like Muhammad Ali after his three-year boxing hiatus and has become a top-five player at his position.

They haven't had as many as some other cities, but there are a few sports icons in the city of Cincinnati. Barry Larkin played for the Cincinnati Reds for 19 seasons (1986-2004) and was a 12-time All-Star, named a Silver Slugger nine times, won three Golden Gloves, was the National League MVP in 1995, won a World Series in 1990, and was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2012.

So, Larkin's word carries weight in Cincinnati, and he recently explained why he's such a fan of Burrow.

Burrow's resume backs up the sentiments of Larkin.

Over the last two seasons, Burrow has guided the Bengals to consecutive AFC Championship games and a Super Bowl berth. During that span, Cincinnati has won five playoff games under Burrow which included victories over Patrick Mahomes (won three consecutive games against him in under a year) and the Kansas City Chiefs as well as Madden 24 cover boy Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, two other top-five signal callers.

It's taken a ton of poise and leadership by Burrow to pull that off, especially with three of those five postseason wins coming on the road, and if you want to see swag, look no further than what Burrow said about how long the Bengals have to win a championship.

“The window’s my whole career,” said Burrow back in January. “And everybody that we have in that locker room, all the coaches we have, things are going to change year to year. But, our window is always open.”

That type of confidence should have Bengals fans ultra-excited for the next decade.
