The Cincinnati Bengals won their fourth playoff game in the last two seasons last week with quarterback Joe Burrow at the helm. Next on the menu for the defending AFC champions is a trip to Orchard Park to face the Buffalo Bills.

Buffalo is currently a 5.5-point favorite to advance to the AFC Championship Game, but don’t tell Burrow that.

“I never feel like an underdog,” said Burrow.

Tell them how you feel, Joe.

Confidence at any position in football is key, but having that at quarterback is important considering it’s the most critical position.

Burrow has good reason to feel the way he does. The Bengals’ offense was seventh in points per game (26.1) and defensively they ranked fifth in fewest points allowed (20.1) during the regular season.

The mindset of Burrow shouldn’t be too surprising. After the Bengals ended the regular season on an eight-game winning streak,  Burrow said this about the window the Bengals have to win a Super Bowl.

“The window’s my whole career,” said Burrow. “And everybody that we have in that locker room, all the coaches we have, things are going to change year to year. But, our window is always open.”

Cool, calm, and collected. That’s Burrow in a nutshell.
