How to watch Packers at Steelers in Aaron Rodgers’ revenge game as Green Bay fights to keep NFC’s top seed
It’s a big primetime game for both sides, with emotional storylines, but also with huge implications for regular season standings.
It’s time for the most anticipated game of the Green Bay Packers’ regular season. On “Sunday Night Football,” the Packers play the Pittsburgh Steelers for the first time ever that quarterback Aaron Rodgers will face his old team. It’s a big and emotional game per se, but it gets even bigger because the Packers are trying to win their third game in a row to keep the first seed in the NFC, while the Steelers want to maintain a comfortable lead in the AFC North.
The game will be broadcasted by NBC, with play-by-player Mike Tirico, color commentator Cris Collinsworth, sideline reporter Melissa Stark, and rules analyst Terry McAulay. The halftime show crew has host Maria Taylor and experts Devin McCourty, Chris Simms, and Jason Garrett. The kickoff is at 7:20 p.m. CT.
Streaming options
This week, if you live outside of the Green Bay/Milwaukee area, you don’t need to worry about broadcast maps, as it’s a national primetime game. ‘SNF’ can be streamed on Twitch or with an NFL+ subscription ($6.99/month) on mobile devices.
For fans outside of the United States, the game will be available with an NFL Gamepass subscription on DAZN.
Broadcasting notes
> This is the second “Sunday Night Football” appearance of the season for the Packers. The Packers tied with the Dallas Cowboys in the first one. Unless there’s a flexed game, it’s Green Bay’s final appearance on NBC this year.
> The Packers will still have another primetime game this year. In Week 10, the team hosts the Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field on “Monday Night Football.” In Week 13, the Packers also have a standalone game against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.
> It’s the second consecutive road game for the Packers in the middle of a weird schedule sequence. The Packers have only one game at Lambeau between Sept. 12 and Nov. 1, with two sequences of two-road games and the bye week. The Bengals’ game was the only home one during this stretch.
> The final two games, against the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings, have dates, time, and the broadcasting companies yet to be determined.
Radio information
Every Packers game is called on the Packers Radio Network. Wayne Larrivee (play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro Bowler Larry McCarren (analyst) call the action. The list of affiliates can be found on the Packers’ official website.
