Our staff here at A to Z Sports recently completed a four-round collaborative mock draft using eight of our NFL draft analysts. I controlled the Indianapolis Colts selection in all four rounds, and the haul I finished with was flat-out incredible. In my opinion, it might just be the perfect Colts draft haul.
The perfect four-round Colts mock draft
Round 1, Pick 14: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

"Ther"e's not much more to say here that people haven't already heard. The Colts have a major need at tight end and if Tyler Warren is available he seems like a perfect fit in Shane Steichen's offense. And with Anthony Richardson entering a make or break season this is the exact move the team needs to make to get the most out of him.

Round 2, Pick 45: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama
"Seeing Tyler Booker available at pick 45 made me do a double take. Even while writing this I still can't believe he was available and if it happened in real life I think the Colts should run the card in. His tape in 2024 is arguably the most dominant of any offensive lineman in this class. The team lost Will Fries this offseason so their starting right guard job is up for grabs. A guard duo of Quenton Nelson and Tyler Booker would a lethal combination, paving the way for Jonathan Taylor and Anthony Richardson to torch teams on the ground."

Round 3, Pick 80: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA

"I truly don't know if the first three rounds could have gone better for the Colts. Carson Schwesinger is one of the best fits at LB for the Colts in this years class. So much so that I think he's in real consideration to be their second round selection if they pass on LB in the first. So if he is there in the third and they still haven't addressed LB like in this mock I think this would be by far the best pick they could make."

Round 4, Pick 117: Devin Neal, RB, Kansas
"To round out this mock for the Colts they go back to offense and land Kansas Star RB Devin Neal. The team needs to find a reliable backup to take some of the snap share off Jonathan Taylor's plate. Preferably it's someone they can trust in pass protection due to Taylor struggling in that regard. Neal is one of the strongest backs in the class and thrived as a blocker. He would give Indy a player who could be a rotational player early with upside to be a future three-down starter if they need it."

- Round 1: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
- Round 2: Tyler Booker, G, Alabama
- Round 3: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
- Round 4: Devin Neal, RB, Kansas
Landing Tyler Warren in the first round isn't going to shock anyone. He has been one of the most popular selections for the Colts' first-round pick all offseason long. He seems to be the best fit for the Colts' offense at TE in this year's class and is likely to be one of their top options if he is available when they are on the clock at pick 14.
After that, though, the Colts haul just kept getting better fits with the best guard in the draft in Tyler Booker, out of Alabama. If the team was able to land in the second round, it would soften the blow of losing Will Fries in free agency tremendously. After that, the Colts added another day-one starter in LB Carson Schwesinger. He typically gets mocked as a second-rounder and is viewed as one of the best off-ball LBs in the class. Maybe him nursing an injury this offseason could push him down the board, but if he's on the board in the third, the Colts would be foolish not to bring him to Indianapolis.
And to finish the mock, the Colts landed Kansas RB Devin Neal. Neal would give the Colts precisely what they need behind Jonathan Taylor: A reliable option to take some of the workload off Taylor's shoulders and a player who excels as a pass blocker. The Colts would immediately fill four significant needs on their roster if the draft fell this way. While Neal may not be a day-one starter like the other three, he has a ton of potential to become a future starter in the NFL. On paper, I don't know if there is a better draft haul the Colts could walk away with.
Colts 7 round mock draft: Indy pulls off a trade and focuses heavily on offense by adding talent at TE, RB, OL and even QB
We are just under three weeks away from the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. As the dust settles on the first wave of NFL free agency, things are starting to look clearer regarding how the Colts may operate during the draft. So, without further ado, it's time for my newest predictive Colts seven-round […]
Colts getting a closer look at a mysterious prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft that could end up being a star in the league
The Indianapolis Colts were wise to add talent to their secondary in free agency ahead of the NFL Draft. Now, they opened themselves up to consider more options when they are on the clock in the early rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. But that doesn't mean we should rule out the possibility of the Colts […]
