The Indianapolis Colts have been one of the most surprising teams in the NFL to start the 2025 season. They are 2-0 for the first time since 2009, and their offense has been firing on all cylinders with none other than Daniel Jones under center. They picked up a dominant win in Week 1 over the Miami Dolphins and pulled out a nail-biter in Week 2 over the Denver Broncos.

Next up is an AFC South matchup as the Colts hit the road to take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. After having two key starters miss Week 2, the hope was that the team would have better news on their injury reports ahead of Week 3. And so far through two days of practice, I think the Colts should feel very good about the direction in which multiple key players are trending.

The Colts were without their top outside CB and edge last week, with Ward and Latu being inactive. Both have now practiced both days to begin the week, which gives a lot of hope for them to return to the field on Sunday. The team did have a couple of slight scares to begin the week, with WR Josh Downs and TE Tyler Warren missing Wednesday’s practice. But both were on the field Thursday, with Downs a full participant and Warren a limited one.

The players I’ll be interested to hear updates from head coach Shane Steichen on tomorrow, as well, to see what their practice status is on Friday, are Laiatu Latu and Tyler Warren. Latu is dealing with a hamstring injury, and another day as a full participant seems necessary to believe he will be ready to go. Warren’s toe injury, on the other hand, is a bit more of a mystery, I doubt he will miss this game because of it, but it will be interesting to see if he can elevate to a full participant on Friday to show he is fully ready to go for his first AFC South matchup.
