The Indianapolis Colts retained a versatile defensive lineman.

They agreed to a two-year contract to re-sign DE Tyquan Lewis.

Lewis and the Colts agreed to a two-year $12 million deal. I'm told that the Colts had multiple competitors who attempted to sign the defensive lineman away from them, which raised the price a bit. But in the end, they retained the valuable depth lineman.

He was very effective when his number was called last season, but he only played 37.2% of the team's snaps. He spent time off the edge and on the interior and will likely continue to be used in a diverse role.

It'll be interesting to see if his snap count is increased this year after being so productive last year. But he will still be behind Samson Ebukam, Dayo Odyeingbo, and Kwity Paye on the depth chart off the edge.
