The Indianapolis Colts' 2025 season will be full of emotion following Jim Irsay's passing. The team will wear a jersey patch to honor their late owner, and multiple people have stated that this season will be played in his honor.

The Colts aren't done yet finding ways to honor Mr. Irsay, with the team announcing that he will be inducted into their Ring of Honor during the 2025 season.

Colts inducting Jim Irsay into their Ring of Honor following his passing

The Colts will kick off the 2025 season in a special way by inducting Jim Irsay into their Ring of Honor during Week 1 of the regular season. Irsay will be the 20th inductee into the Colts Ring of Honor, and he will be the fifth non-player joining his father Robert Irsay, Colts Nation, general manager Bill Polian, and head coaches Tony Dungy and Ted Marchibroda.

Ring of Honor inductions are always a special time for the Colts as former players and coaches typically travel to be a part of the tribute. And with this one being for Jim Irsay, I think it's safe to assume we will see most of the notable figures from the franchise's tenure in Indianapolis. This was a no brainer decision from the Colts, and I think it was a fantastic choice to do this during the season opener. Kicking off the season that will be played in Jim's honor by putting his name up in the building that he built to make sure his legacy in this city and around this franchise will last forever.
