The Kansas City Chiefs are back-to-back champions, which means the entire team has gone to the White House in the nation's capital to meet with President Joe Biden two years in a row. As we saw last offseason, this group of guys can really be a tough bunch to handle in public, especially Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
Last offseason, Kelce went to the microphone and started talking to the crowd. But before he could get a sentence out, Mahomes rushed over to Kelce at the podium and pulled him away while also apologizing to the crowd who gathered to watch the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
This year was very similar – Kelce was again the center of attention as a comedian.
"My fellow Americans. I'm going to be honest, President Biden, they told me I'd get tased if I came up here, so I'm going back to my spot," Travis Kelce said on the stage.
Of course, everyone laughed because it was funny, and had he gotten tased, it may or may not have been funny.
In all seriousness, it's good for these guys to have a good time and joke around occasionally. It keeps the spirits up, and it reminds them that they don't always have to be in that killer mindset mode that they are in during the season.
And this likely won't be the last time this happens if they go for that three-peat.
