The Kansas City Chiefs are one of several NFL teams that will head overseas for a game in 2023.

Kansas City is set to play the Miami Dolphins on November 5 in Frankfurt Stadium (it's a "home" game for the Chiefs).

The Chiefs have previously played in Mexico and London.

Former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum, who previously worked in the Dolphins' front office and now works for ESPN, pointed out on Thursday that Kansas City's defensive backs will have an advantage against Miami with the game being played in Germany.

Tannenbaum noted that the Chiefs will avoid playing a motivated Tyreek Hill in Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City traded the superstar wide receiver to the Dolphins ahead of the 2022 season. Tannenbaum doesn't think Hill will be quite as motivated to play the Chiefs in Germany as he would be in Arrowhead.

From ESPN: The Chiefs' defensive backs. They luckily won't have to cover a very motivated Tyreek Hill at Arrowhead Stadium, since they get to instead play the Dolphins in Germany.

It's the NFL so you expect players to be motivated no matter what. But there are certain situations when players naturally have a little extra juice. And Hill's return to Arrowhead would've been one of those situations. Fortunately for the Chiefs, they'll get Hill on a neutral field that will be a new experience for nearly everyone on the field.
