NFL analyst gives his least favorite move after free agency for the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs made some moves this offseason that we fully expect to keep them within reach to contend for the Super Bowl once again. Winning a Super Bowl is hard repeating is even harder, as no team has done so since 2004.
But if they want a chance to break that streak, they have to get their offseason right. So far they have. Well, besides maybe one thing.
They signed Jawaan Taylor to replace Orlando Brown Jr., which was a great signing when you look at the numbers. Taylor hasn't missed a game in his four NFL seasons, and last season he played over 500 pass-blocking snaps and allowed just 12 quarterback pressures.
Those numbers are great. But here is where things get tricky.
They signed Taylor to be their new left tackle, a guy who has never played left tackle. He was a very good right tackle, a position the Chiefs also need, but they signed him to a left tackle type of contract.
That's where things get shaky. And I'm not the only one who thinks that. One NFL analyst feels the same way.
My least favorite: Plan to move Jawaan Taylor to left tackle
We’ve seen players successfully make this transition in the past, but oftentimes the NFL right tackle had experience at left tackle in college. This is not the case with Taylor, who has been a right tackle for the better part of a decade. Perhaps Kansas City still has plans to add a left tackle, and perhaps we’re worrying about something we shouldn’t, but it could prove to be a bold strategy to take your huge swing in free agency on a player you then ask to switch positions.
If Taylor had played left tackle before, this would be an amazing signing, and I still think it's a really good one. But, he hasn't and when the media asked him about it he didn't make it seem like a big deal.
In fact, during his introductory presser, he said that it was a "flip of the hip," when asked about the position change. But, I think we all know it's more than that.
Obviously, we all want Taylor to succeed, but fans are going to have some feelings about the move, especially because it's still early and fresh. I mean, this is the guy that is supposed to protect Patrick Mahomes' blind side. I just hope he is working on the left tackle spot already.
