Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid provided media members with his typical post-game media update following the team's 23-20 win over the New York Jets on "Sunday Night Football."
After a hard-fought game that almost got away from them, the Chiefs were lucky to escape with very few injuries. They suffered an injury in the first quarter of the game, with practice squad LB Cole Christiansen suffering an injury on a special teams snap. He was quickly ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury.
"As far as injuries go, Cole Christiansen pulled his hamstring," Reid said. "He'd be the only one to mention."
Christiansen was a practice squad elevation this week, and he'll likely go on the practice squad injured list should his hamstring injury require him to miss an extended period of time.
Escaping any game without sustaining any major injuries is always the biggest win for any team. It feels like an especially big with for Kansas City, knowing that new turf was installed at MetLife Stadium this year, and they've come under some scrutiny ever since Aaron Rodgers' injury.
