The Kansas City Chiefs took a hit on the defensive side of the ball late in their Week 7 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

After tackling WR Keenan Allen, Chiefs LB Nick Bolton came tumbling toward the sideline, taking a knee while the team's medical and training staff attended to him. He was holding his wrist and the team quickly ruled him as questionable to return to the game with a wrist injury. CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson said that he was visibly in pain on the sideline before exiting to head to the locker room.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid confirmed the injury to reporters after the game.

"As far as the injuries go, Nick Bolton has a dislocated wrist," Reid said. "They're working on that now. We'll see how he does."

Bolton has already missed three games this season with a high ankle sprain. He was replaced by Drue Tranquill during those absences, and that rang true in the Week 7 tilt with the Chargers. Tranquill notched a sack against his former teammate Justin Herbert in those final six minutes of the game.

There has been little-to-no drop-off with Tranquill in the game as opposed to Bolton, but if this injury turns out to cause Bolton to miss extended time, it'll certainly be a blow to the team's depth. Surgery and a stay on injured reserve could be on the table depending on whether there is any accompanying ligament damage. More testing will be done to determine the severity and we should know more as early as tomorrow morning.
