The Kansas City Chiefs actually got a pair of wins in preseason Week 2.
Not only did the team notch a 38-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, but they also got the biggest possible win that you can get following a preseason game. That's to say, they escaped the game mostly unscathed, having suffered no major injuries according to Chiefs HC Andy Reid.
"Alright, there are not really injuries to talk about," Reid told reporters following the game. Everybody came through it pretty good."
This is a breath of fresh air after losing a pair of cornerbacks to injury in preseason Week 1. Chiefs' seventh-round rookie cornerback Nic Jones suffered multiple fractured fingers against the New Orleans Saints last week. He's yet to return to play following the injury.
Anthony Witherstone was waived-injured with his toe injury and is currently on injured reserve.
Ultimately, the Chiefs will have to wait until they get back to Kansas City to see if any injuries pop up ahead of the practice week. The good news is that nothing serious occurred during the game, despite a good physical game of football with plenty of big hits. If any injuries pop up after the fact, they'll likely be minor in nature.
