The Kansas City Chiefs and their fans got some good news pertaining to Patrick Mahomes' right ankle injury on Monday, by way of head coach Andy Reid.

Of course, after the win over Jacksonville, Mahomes made sure to let everyone know he was going to play in the AFC Championship game, but, I mean isn't he supposed to say that?

On Monday during media availability with Reid, he made sure to let everyone know Mahomes is indeed playing. But he also gave some information that is great news when thinking about Mahomes injury and his future with it.

"He has worked hard in the treatment and is doing okay… He told you guys, and he mentioned it to you he was going to play. So, that's his mindset, and then we will just take it day by day."

In 2019 Mahomes suffered a very similar injury but to his left ankle, and we have been told that this one is nowhere near as bad, which is great news for this weekend and his future. Hopefully, the treatment continues to go well.
