The Kansas City Chiefs got the job done on Sunday, and as far as things are looking for the future, they have a fairly easy schedule the rest of the way out. The Las Vegas Raiders didn't start the game easy, though, as they went up 14 points right off the bat and could have gone up 17 had they not missed a field goal.

But the Chiefs did what they are known for doing in the Andy Reid – Patrick Mahomes era. They came down from 14 points and not only won but won by 14 points. The offense got out of their slump of not scoring in the second half of games, as they were scoreless in the second half of the last three games.

They scored the most points they have all season long in the second half. But the defense showed up, too, allowing just three points in the second half. But one thing the offense did that really stands out was the toughness and grittiness of Justin Watson, who caught one of the touchdowns from Patrick Mahomes.

Robert Spillane laid him out in the end zone on what looked to be just a shoulder check. Watson got up, found the zone in the end zone where no one was standing, and caught the pass from Mahomes. Then, he got right in Spillane's face and let him know he did not like that.

Watson ended up getting a penalty because, well, he was trying to talk trash after just scoring a touchdown. That's not allowed, but neither is what Spillane did. So, in a way, that was one of the few penalties Andy Reid liked.

"I mean (Raiders LB Robert) Spillane hit him pretty good there, knocked him off his feet. Just the fact that he bounced up – the way he bounced up was amazing, and then to make the catch," Reid told reporters on Monday.

"Then I love to see the fire in the guys – I can't stand the penalties right now – the fire, I can see why he did what he did. Yeah, that was a pretty rough hit that he took there. He's a tough kid, and for him to bounce up like he did and then score, he didn't flinch a lick on that."

Watson took a nasty hit and delivered when the Chiefs needed a score pretty badly. The Chiefs were down 7-14, and if they didn't score there, who knows if the momentum swings their way. Who knows if the Raiders keep doing what they were doing?

The Chiefs receiver issues have been pretty bad this year, as we all know. However, the one constant that has been there has been Justin Watson. Could he be better in some instances? Sure. Could he have run a post route instead of a fade against the Eagles? Sure. But he has been one of the more consistent receivers this year.

So, because of that, maybe it's safe to say Andy Reid actually liked the penalty?

"I'm good, but I'm not good."
