The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the best gameday atmospheres in all of the NFL, and everyone knows that. Fans know that when they go to Arrowhead Stadium on a Sunday, or any other day for that matter, they will have the time of their life.
The Chiefs have one of the older stadiums in the league, as Arrowhead was built in 1972, but that hasn't stopped the fans and team from making it enjoyable.
The Chiefs and their fans know how to turn it up a notch, so much so they ended up getting this old stadium high on the rankings.
The Athletic makes a stadium rankings list every year, and this year they ranked the Chiefs' historic stadium at No. 6.
Seating capacity: 76,416
Google review: 4.7 stars
It would be tough to find a better game-day atmosphere. The tailgating scene is outstanding, and the crowd noise during games is among the best in the league. The venue has aged well, considering the Chiefs have been playing there since 1972. – The Athletic
I'd say that is surprising considering some of the cool and new stadiums on the list, but when you factor in the atmosphere, it makes so much sense.
The Chiefs are still considering renovating, rebuilding, or moving locations altogether (much down the line, their lease isn't up at Arrowhead until 2031), so imagine how much better the atmosphere could get with a new and refreshing stadium.
