The Kansas City Chiefs win over the Cincinnati Bengals was special for every player on the team, but all for different reasons. For most players, they just wanted a chance to send the Bengals home after all of the disrespectful trash-talking they did all week.

And, they did just that. For one other player, he wanted to beat his former team, and what better way to do it than in the AFC Championship?

Carlos Dunlap was signed by the Chiefs this last offseason and brought in for one big reason, to generate pressure on the quarterback and help Chris Jones do his job better.

We knew Dunlap was passed his prime when he signed in Kansas City. But, what we didn't know is that he would be so good at his role. He came from Seattle where he had only played one full season with them. Before that, he played 11 years in Cincinnati, bit back when they weren't very good.

Before last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the veteran had six playoff appearances, and never won a playoff game. Now in one season with the Chiefs, he has won two and has a shot at a Super Bowl ring.

So, this game was a bit more personal for Dunlap. I don't quite know how the trade from Cincinnati to Seattle went, in terms of it being mutual on both sides, but either way, he beat both his former teams this season.

One of the teams he beat in the biggest game of his life, just so happens to be one he spend 11 years of his life, was traded from, and talked a whole lot of trash leading up to the game.

"We're going to the Super Bowl, so many emotions, the opportunity to play… we got the win."

This is why I came here, had a midnight meeting before I signed here just to make sure it was the right choice. He told me now, we're making it happen. I'm trying to be present in the moment and find my family to enjoy it with.
