The Cincinnati Bengals talked a big game before this matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, as they should have. They won the three previous matchups, why wouldn't they be confident? But, unfortunately for them, that talk didn't translate into the product on the field.
They walked out of Burrowhead stadium with a loss, and some of them were mad at each other.
This game was one of a ton of emotions on both sides. The Chiefs battling through injury after injury with a hobbled MVP quarterback, and trying to not lose to the same team for a fourth time.
The Bengals were trying not to look like fools, losing to the team they talked all that trash to. And, believe it or not, they were down some key players as well.
Both teams were playing for a shot at a Super Bowl ring.
There was a lot on the line, and when it mattered most, the Chiefs shined. They did get some help from the Bengals though, after Mahomes was hit late out of bounds, they were awarded the first down and extra yardage.
The Bengals and some of their players weren't too happy, as they should be upset. But, as they headed back to the locker room you could hear one player call out Joseph Ossai, the player that hit Mahomes.
Germain Pratt was not happy, yelling “Why the f*ck would you touch the quarterback?!”
It was a pretty dumb thing to do, to say the least. It's crazy how the Chiefs' win has the Bengals players turning on each other when just last week they were having fun dissing the team they just lost to.
In all seriousness, even if some Chiefs fans do hate the Bengals, let's hope Ossai is okay. He looked to be pretty upset after the game and having a play like that will likely haunt him forever.
