Cincinnati's mayor tries to talk trash about Patrick Mahomes and fails miserably

The Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals are a real rivalry now. Words have been exchanged all week, I mean all season really, even though the Bengals have beaten them three straight times.
The most recent one was "Burrowhead" instead of Arrowhead, even though Joe Burrow has only played there once in his career. The Chiefs didn't say a thing all week, until that. Once they said that, Willie Gay Jr. said there is "nothing" spectacular about the Bengals' offense.
Then Chris Jones ended his presser with a "Take care. See you all at Burrowhead Stadium." The pettiness is starting between the two, and some of the jokes and trash talk are really, really good, on both sides.
Then there is this guy. The Mayor of Cincinnati.
"Good afternoon Cincinnati, I have a proclamation from the desk of the Mayor, be it proclaimed. Whereas the Cincinnati Bengals are headed to Burrowhead stadium for their second consecutive AFC Championship game. Whereas last year's game the Bengals scored more points than the Chiefs resulting in the Bengals' victory and the Chiefs' loss. Whereas Joseph Lee Burrow, who's 3-0 against Mahomes has been asked by officials to take a paternity test confirming whether or not he's his father. Whereas all season long Cincinnati has been on a path of destiny, fighting it out to overcome anyone who stands between them and a Super Bowl win. And whereas Kansas City is named after its neighboring state which is you know just kind of weird now. Therefore I, the Mayor of the city of Cincinnati, do hereby proclaim January 29th, 2023 as they got to play us day in Cincinnati thank you."
To be completely honest, this was one of the corniest things I have ever heard. I'm sure when the Bengals' players heard it they started to cringe it would have been so much better if he didn't say anything at all.
To make things even better, the Mayor of Kansas City had the perfect response.
"Sorry, y’all. I hear the Mayor of Cincinnati has tried to bring some smoke that’s weak as hell. Catching up now…"
Then, Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, quoted the Mayor's tweet with "WEAK. & embarrassing."
This rivalry has some good trash talk, but the Mayor of Cincinnati was not part of that at all. He should in fact step down just because of that. Kidding, obviously. Let's see what team walks the walk on Sunday.
