Chiefs, Mahomes, Bengals

Patrick Mahomes is once again breaking records or setting them, however you would like to look at it, he is doing that, and he is doing it for the Kansas City Chiefs.

It's safe to say that the two quarterbacks we will see on Sunday in the AFC Championship game are the face of the league now. Patrick Mahomes will be the MVP of the league this year, and Burrow is going to be a finalist. Both are in the AFC Championship for the second time in a row, and one will be in the Super Bowl.

Same thing with the other side of the bracket, kind of. Two young quarterbacks that have a chance to make their mark on the league. All of them, including Patrick Mahomes, are a part of a record-breaking stat, too.

Before the season started, I don't know of anyone would have bet these exact four quarterbacks as the four that would make it. Sure, they bet on Mahomes and Burrow, but not the other two.

Per NFL Communications, this is the youngest combination of quarterbacks to make the Championship games since the conference championship play began in 1970. The four have an average age of 25 years old and 98 days, while the previous youngest was in the 1996 conference championship games, with an average age of 25 years and 298 days.

I won't say both guys on the NFC side are going to be the face of the league, but that has nothing to do with them, and everything to do with the two guys on the AFC side.

Mahomes is the guy, though, and I think everyone knows that. Mahomes will rule the AFC for as long as he wants to. He is only 27 years old.
