The Kansas City Chiefs have a player who is one of the best-kept secrets of the 2023 season.

There are a few under-the-radar guys on the Chiefs. They have one of the best rosters in football, and they are one of the more recognizable teams. But every team has at least one guy that only a few football fans know about. The local fans know him, but other teams' fans may not.

I feel that guy is wide receiver Justin Watson for the Chiefs. It's hard trying to find a guy more under the radar than him and one that has the potential to have a breakout season. When you are a Super Bowl-winning team, you have every position set, and there isn't much room for a guy to have a breakout season.

Watson can have one in 2023 if things go his way. Last year was a career year for the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl champion. The now two-time Super Bowl champion is set up to have an even better year than his 2022 career year.

Last season, the Chiefs were without Tyreek Hill, as they traded him to the Miami Dolphins, so they brought in JuJu Smith-Schuster and Justin Watson in free agency to attempt to make up for it.

Watson served as another speedy downfield threat. Obviously, he could be better than Hill, but he was good enough to give Mahomes a guy to go to at times. 2022 saw him finish with 315 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Because the Chefs don't have a true number-one receiver, they lost Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, and Kadarius Toney will likely have injuries to deal with; we can likely expect to see Watosn have a bigger role.

Watson made some huge plays last season and came in clutch several times last year, including in the postseason. Expect to see him have a breakout season in 2023.
