Broncos player's comments prove Chiefs are living rent-free in his head
The Kansas City Chiefs pretty much own the Denver Broncos by now, right? I mean, 15 straight wins over the divisional opponent, a team you play twice a year, meaning they can't beat you at their home field, so I would say the answer is yes, they do own them. They also own the Raiders, […]
The Kansas City Chiefs pretty much own the Denver Broncos by now, right? I mean, 15 straight wins over the divisional opponent, a team you play twice a year, meaning they can't beat you at their home field, so I would say the answer is yes, they do own them.
They also own the Raiders, but not as much. The Raiders have beaten Patrick Mahomes, even if it is just once.
On Saturday we saw the Chiefs absolutely embarrass the Raiders with the snow globe play, as they called it. It was amazing, and while they scored on the play, it didn't actually count as Creed Humphrey was called for holding. They still scored the very next play, though.
A lot of people thought that was disrespectful, and it was. But, that is your division rival. You aren't supposed to be nice to those guys, you are supposed to be disrespectful.
For some reason, it had one Broncos player shaken up, when he wasn't even part of the play, the game, or even had a game on that day.
"I have said it before, I am sick of losing to the Chiefs," Broncos offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz. "That is like my number one goal that I will be looking at every day. I really want to beat them. I'm going to say it because it's been on my chest, but that little ring-around-the-Rosie play they did against the Raiders, that really pissed me off."
Let's just start with, no one cares buddy.
Everyone is mad about this, and my take is, if you don't want the Chiefs to be disrespectful, you can do two things. You can stop the trick play and not let them score on it, then they look dumb for trying it. Or, you could not let them get up so big so they don't have an opportunity to do it.
Also, why does this play even matter to him? It didn't happen to him and in fact, it happened to the other team he is supposed to hate. I guess it is safe to say the Chiefs are living rent-free in his head.
