It has been all defense so far in the preseason Week 3 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns, with the biggest play of the game coming at the hands of a former Chiefs player.

In his return to Arrowhead Stadium after the Chiefs let him walk in free agency, Browns S Juan Thornhill made life difficult for Shane Buechele as he gets an opportunity to earn the QB2 job in Kansas City. Backed up within their own 25-yard line, Buechele threw back across the middle of the field and Thornhill read the play all the way. It's almost like he has seen this in practice for the past couple of seasons.

Thornhill, of course, managed an interception and had the perfect angle to return it to the house for six points.

Check out the interception from Buechele by Thornhill below:

It was a bit of a "kiss the ring" moment for Thornhill, who was allowed to walk in free agency this past offseason. That had to be quite validating for the former Chiefs draft pick, who won two Super Bowl rings in Kansas City.

This was not a good development for Buechele, though. If Blaine Gabbert comes into the game later and performs, it'll be hard to say that Buechele deserves the backup job over Gabbert. The two were "real close" in the QB competition according to Chiefs HC Andy Reid, but Buechele hasn't helped his case with two interceptions in the first quarter of the game.
