When the Kansas City Chiefs face off with the Buffalo Bills, it will be a series of part-two matchups in several ways. These two teams battled during the regular season with the Bills walking away with a 20-17 win over the Chiefs.

This second battle between these two AFC powerhouses will also include part two of the Stefon Diggs versus L'Jarius Sneed matchup. The first round of this battle was won by Sneed. Sneed was targeted seven times allowing one catch on the day. In coverage against Diggs, Sneed was targeted five times surrendering one catch. He lined up against Diggs on 24 routes, around 64% of the time. This was a lockdown performance by the Chiefs cornerback.

Coming off a game where he held both Tyreek and Jaylen Waddle to a combined two catches for 26 yards during wild-card weekend, Sneed is playing with a chip on his shoulder after being left off both NFL All-Pro teams and the Pro Bowl this season. He was one of the best CBs in the league this year, but he was overlooked for all the honors that would recognize him as such.

Sneed began his career aligned mostly in the slot. Until this season, where he has lived and thrived as an outside CB. This allows him to travel with number-one receivers, like Diggs, Hill, Waddle, etc.

This season, Sneed allowed 45 receptions on 90 targets for 435 yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, and 11 pass breakups.

Sneed was asked what challenges Diggs brings.

"He's a great receiver," Sneed said. "Smart, great route runner and I think that's why he's been hard working. That's why he's been one of the top receivers in the league."

Do it when it matters most

Sneed has been playing lights out. Locking down top receivers around the league. This time around all of the marbles are on the line. It's win or go home in Buffalo. Sneed will need to be on his A-game once again to help the Chiefs advance to the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Bills coach Joe Brady will do his best to create advantageous opportunities for Josh Allen and the Bills offensive weapons against this tough Chiefs defense. If Sneed can take away Diggs for a second time this season, it will force Allen to trust his other weapons in big moments of this massive game. They'll be without WR Gabe Davis, who has caused K.C. issues in the past. Sneed is up for the challenge and I expect him to have a big impact.
