The Kansas City Chiefs have released their first injury report of the season, as they prepare to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1.

As a whole, the Chiefs are about as healthy as you could hope for entering the regular season. Despite multiple players sustaining various injuries during Week 2 of the preseason, most of them have bounced back.

The Chargers are also quite healthy, but their biggest injury already occurred when starting All-Pro left tackle Rashawn Slater sustained a season-ending torn patella tendon during training camp, which will cost him the entire 2025 season.

Observations:

Harris was activated last week after from the non-football injury list following an eye injury that he sustained in a fireworks incident on July 4. He is on track to play against K.C. on Friday, and should rotate with rookie Omarion Hampton out of the Chargers’ backfield.

Coming off of offseason knee surgery, L.A. has been cautious with Molden. However, he played in the Chargers’ Week 3 preseason game, which is a good indicator that he’s on track to play in Week 1.

Observations:

Coach Andy Reid has already stated that it would be a stretch for Royals to be healthy enough to play this week. Royals not practicing just three days out from the game all but confirms he won’t be available.

Norman-Lott has been battling through an ankle injury since Week 2 of the preseason. It seems at least possible that he’s unable to play against the Chargers, but the fact that he has practiced will give him a shot.

Brown missed the entire preseason with an ankle injury, but has been practicing in full over the past two weeks and is expected to play on Friday. With Royals and Rashee Rice (suspension) out, the Chiefs will be leaning on Brown.
