When the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game, it became more clear that winning the Super Bowl would only get harder than it was before. Sure, it's the next game, and you're playing what was the best team all season in the San Francisco 49ers, but something else happened, too.

The Chiefs lost Charles Omenihu, a guy who had seven sacks in 11 games, in that game. He can play inside on obvious passing downs and is primarily outside, where he can beat tackles and guards with any sort of move. The Chiefs would be missing that in the Super Bowl, as Omenihu tore his ACL against the Ravens.

Of course, as we all know, the Chiefs went on to win the Super Bowl without him, but that doesn't mean they didn't need him. They certainly could have used that extra pressure he puts on the pocket. Luckily, everyone stepped up in his absence, especially Mike Pennell.

Now that he has had surgery and had it the Tuesday after the Super Bowl, he has an update on how the surgery went and how his rehab is going. From all accounts, it seems to be an update that Chiefs fans will be happy with.

"Yeah, so like you said, I had surgery last Tuesday," Omenihu said on Monday on Good Morning Football. "I'm doing pretty good. A lot of people are saying I'm reviving fast. All I can do is go day by day. Definitely looking forward to next year."

The average ACL injury timeline can last from 9 to 12 months. However, Omenihu is not an average human, as these NFL players are supreme beings. That would have him returning around November, which would be serviceable, but you never know what can happen.

It's good to hear that he is progressing and doing well. He will be back.
