The special Chris Jones episode of "New Heights" is out now and it certainly doesn't disappoint.
The Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro defensive tackle spoke about everything from his experience at the 2016 NFL draft to his friendly rivalry with former Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill. He touched on what he wants to do after his NFL career has finished and provided the Chiefs Kingdom with some great Super Bowl stories.
He even took us back to the first time he met Travis Kelce and Andy Reid.
Jason asks: "Brutally honest, what were your first impressions of Trav?"
Chris responds: "I'm like this is 'Malibu's Most Wanted' all the way."
Laughter ensues before Jones elaborates, "I was like, 'This is B-Rad, bro!' I'm telling y'all our first away game, Trav had like this beanie on, this cool-ass sweater with the glasses. I was like, 'This is Malibu's Most Wanted all over again.'"
Travis, of course, has a reference to the 2003 film for Jones:
"Traffic, traffic, looking for my chapstick," he says.
As for Jones' first impression of Andy Reid, it was equally funny, but for entirely different reasons.
"You know what? Andy (Reid) really didn't talk," Jones said. "Andy said things like, 'Hey.' And he'd just look at you with the mustache. He didn't talk to me until like my fourth year, when we finally had a conversation and the conversation was like, 'How you doing?' I was like, 'I'm good. How you?' It was socially awkward at first, but then I started talking to him and it was like, 'He cool.'"
This episode really serves as a nice trip down memory lane for the two teammates, Kelce and Jones.
