The Kansas City Chiefs have one of their best players sending subliminal messages.

After signing Donovan Smith, it was clear the Chiefs were running out of cap space. Then the details of Frank Clark's contract with the Broncos came out, and everyone was suddenly confused. How could the Chiefs not match Clark's deal?

But, if they would extend Jones already, they wouldn't have this issue. They could restructure his contract going into this upcoming season and save them some space this year to make more moves.

That could be exactly what Jones' subliminal message was about on Instagram.

On Friday, he posted a hype video on his Instagram of him making plays last season, but the caption reads "the clock's ticking" with some clock emojis.

Not only that, but yesterday, when the Clark stuff happened, Jones was tweeting out some interesting things like "wow." If I'm the Chiefs, I'm definitely trying to speed up this whole process.
