The Kansas City Chiefs seem like they can never really beat the Tennessee Titans in the regular season. In 2019, the Titans beat them on a blocked field goal. Last season, they, as Mahomes said, 'beat our ass' with a 27-3 final score. Hopefully, this year is different.

The Titans are a good team this year. At 5-2, they have the tools to beat anyone in this league.

"It looked to me like they got back to their Tennessee formula, which is to play great defense, run the football, control the clock a little bit, win on third down, and all of it is kind of generated by the guy you are talking about [Derrick Henry]," Steve Spagnuolo said on Thursday.

However, we all know where it starts. With Derrick henry, is the best running back in the league, and has been for quite some time now. While he has been great, he hasn't ever really burned the Chiefs' defense. He has gotten him in some games, but never just had a crazy outing.

"You know, King Henry they call him," Spagnuolo said. "He is the king of the run game. A big challenge for us because he is a big back. You can't simulate that in practice. So you have to hope that your foundation of what you have done up to this point will allow you to tackle him.

"Got to find a way to get him on the ground. Everybody does the same thing, it is not a secret. Try to get more hats there. Commit eight or nine or whatever it is. Take some chances in the run game and hope it doesn't hurt you deep. But it is focus number one."

In a way, Spagnuolo kind of told everyone what they plan to do on defense against the Titans. They plan on blitzing and stacking the box, which will only make it harder on Henry to break off big runs.

The Chiefs' run defense isn't the best in the league, but it feels like at times this season when they have needed to show up, they did.

Even if Spagnuolo is giving away the game plan, I think Kansas City will still find a way to suffice on defense.
