The Associated Press has released its All-Pro team for the 2025 NFL season, and the Kansas City Chiefs saw just one player selected for the award. Just like in our A to Z Sports All-Pro team, Chiefs C Creed Humphrey was the lone member of the team selected for All-Pro honors in 2025. It’s the fewest players this team has seen selected for All-Pro honors since the 2021 NFL season, but this individual award could mean a lot for No. 52 down the line.

Chiefs C Creed Humphrey named First-Team All-Pro by Associated Press

A second-round pick out of the University of Oklahoma in the 2021 NFL Draft, Humphrey has been selected for his third career All-Pro honors by the Associated Press. That’s the All-Pro honor officially recognized by the NFL, with a selection committee comprised of 50 accredited media members.

This marks Humphrey’s second consecutive season as a First-Team All-Pro selection. He was named Second-Team All-Pro following the 2022 NFL season. While this selection also marks the fewest All-Pros for the Chiefs since the 2021 NFL season and symbolizes the team’s 6-11 record in the 2025 NFL season, it’s also a supreme accomplishment for Humphrey. It reflects a consistent level of play that few have achieved at the center position in league annals.

Chiefs C Creed Humphrey is on a collision course for the Pro Football Hall of Fame

There are only 10 centers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as things currently stand, and one day, Chiefs C Creed Humphrey could be among them. According to Pro Football Reference, the average Pro Football Hall of Famer at the center position has one championship, five All-Pro selections, eight Pro Bowl selections, 12 years as a starter, and 183 games started at the position.

Humphrey, in just his fifth season in the NFL, already has two Super Bowl rings to his name. He’s more than halfway on the All-Pro selections (3) and at the halfway point on the Pro Bowl selections (4). He’s also started 98 career games between the NFL’s regular season and the postseason, putting him past the halfway point among starters as well.

His performance has been top-notch, with eight sacks allowed and just 64 total pressures across five seasons, per PFF. He’s been called for just 22 penalties, with five declined or offset by an opponent’s penalty.

If Humphrey manages to keep up his torrid pace with more of these accolades and his performance, he won’t just be a shoo-in for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he could well be recognized as the greatest center to ever play the game. By the finish of his age 32 NFL season, he could very well hit every benchmark needed for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and then some.

He’s got a few more years to go until the NFL names its All-Decade team for the 2020s, and he’ll have a really strong chance to earn that honor given his play for the past five seasons. At that point, he’ll have 10 seasons under his belt. That type of honor would only further elevate his status and cement his case as one of the greatest to ever play the game.
