Chiefs defense hungry to get revenge on Eagles in Super Bowl LIX for what KC failed to do in their last SB meeting

The last time these two teams played in the Super Bowl against one another, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles because of a blown call at the end by the refs, and because of the grass being slippery. Didn't you know that's what the Eagles players were saying, so it must be what really happened.
Whatever you're opinions are on that, the Chiefs won, and that's all that matters. Making excuses is what the losers do. But what did happen, was the Chiefs' secondary got torched by Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who really had himself a great game outside of the fumble that was returned for a touchdown by linebacker Nick Bolton.
Outside of that, he really dices up the Chiefs' defense, despite the Chiefs still getting the last laugh, raising a giant silver football while red and yellow pieces of confetti fell from the sky. But, even so, this team is ready to do what they couldn't do in 2022-23.
"This is probably going to be the best team that we faced all year," Dave Merritt said. "Their offensive line is the best we have seen. Their running back, of course, is the best that we have seen. If you go back two years ago, that quarterback lit us up on the back end. He played a heck of a game. He didn't make a mistake. If you look at the Fab Five, all of those guys remember that. Jalen Hurts, he took it to us. The guys are very motivated to stop the run first, and then we are motivated to go out there and shut down the passing game."
The Chiefs' defense has had some ups and downs this year, especially in the secondary, but that's largely been due to injuries. The Chiefs are coming into this game healthy, about as healthy as a team could get. And, they are coming for revenge, especially the defense.
They have a chip on their shoulder where they may feel like the offense was the biggest reason the Chiefs won the Super Bowl that year. I mean, these are pure winners, and they will look for anything to generate more of a reason to go harder. This time, they have revenge ready to be served from the Eagles quarterback playing well.
