Chiefs, Mahomes, super bowl

There was one point during the game where the Chiefs literally had the odds stacked against them, yet they still prevailed. In a way, that has been the story of this season.

The Chiefs had never not been the favorites until this season. They lose Tyreek Hell and all hell breaks loose within the national media. Everyone has the Chiefs missing the playoffs or being eliminated early.

Obviously, none of that came to fruition, just like the odds they had stacked against them at halftime while the Philadelphia Eagles were up by ten points.

While everyone was wondering what the first song would be by Rihanna, the Chiefs were figuring out how they would get back into the game.

They did, and they won, making that their third Super Bowl in franchise history and the second Super Bowl in four years.

At halftime, ESPN Stats tweeted out that only one team has ever come back when trailing by double digits at the half in the Super Bowl. It was the New England Patriots against the Atlanta Falcons. 26 other teams were never able to do it.

The Chiefs literally had the odds stacked against them but little did ESPN Stats know, Patrick Mahomes was at quarterback.

They were also down 10 points in the fourth quarter of their Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers, yet somehow ended up winning by 11.

Never count this team out. Never count this quarterback out, no matter how many times the odds are against him. Yeah, no MVP won the Super Bowl since 1999 in seven tries, but Mahomes ended that streak as well.

This guy is different, there isn't really anything else that needs to be said.
