The Kansas City Chiefs may have just seen their Pro Bowl receiver, or returner for that matter, play his last down with the team.

Mecole Hardman has been amazing for the Chiefs this year when he has been on the field. Rewind to their game against the 49ers and he had three total touchdowns. That is how dynamic this guy is.

But, he has dealt with so many injuries this year. As a matter of fact, his first time paying since Week 8 was this last weekend in the AFC Championship, and even then he got hurt early on.

On Thursday while speaking with the media, head coach Andy Reid said Hardman likely won't play in the Super Bowl, which just sucks overall.

"Mecole Hardman will not practice today," Reid told reporters. "He did a great job of playing in that game the other day, very courageous effort. And, my heart goes out to the kid because he busted his tail. He is hurting now today. So I think it'll be tough for him. I mean, I doubt that he'll he'll make the Super Bowl. But listen, like I said, my he was not going to be denied the other day. And as I mean, it's a tribute to the kid. He, you know, he just pushed himself like no other and he's a tough, he's a tough nut, he's all smiles with you. But when it comes down to playing, he is a tough, tough kid."

This is a guy who is so good and dynamic with the football and loves the game. And now he won't be able to play in the Super Bowl.

He may have played his last down with the Chiefs, as he is also set to become a free agent this offseason.

Chiefs fans and the team will be sad if that is the case, but it could very well happen. For now, though, let's hope he can recover and get healthy.
