Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach got hit with a dose of disrespect this week.
NFL Network ranked the top 10 general managers currently in the NFL.
And Veach somehow wasn't No. 1.
Instead, Veach, the architect of two Super Bowl winners over the last three years, was ranked No. 2 behind Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman.
Roseman has done a nice job since taking over as the Eagles' general manager in 2019. But he has zero Super Bowl wins as a general manager.
Veach, on the other hand, has built a team that's won multiple Super Bowls in the last few years (including this past season). And the Chiefs have won six straight division titles since Veach took over as Kansas City's general manager in 2017 (KC also won the AFC West in 2016, the year before Veach became the general manager).
The Chiefs are the team everyone in the NFL is chasing. And Veach is a big reason why that's the case.
There isn't a general manager in the NFL that's built a better roster than Veach.
Veach is the best general manager in the league and as much as I hate this phrase, it's not particularly close.
