The Kansas City Chiefs have won six straight AFC West division titles, the longest current streak in the NFL. However, something could easily change soon.
The division has been shaken up very crazily. The Chiefs have lost Tyreek Hill but gained Juju Smith-Schuster. The Denver Broncos added Russell Wilson, the Los Angeles Chargers added Khalil Mack, the Las Vegas Raiders added Devante Adams and Chandler Jones.
While most Chiefs fans aren't worried and will throw in the six straight division titles, it won't be easy this upcoming year. Every team has gotten better, and everyone has noticed it.
Chiefs are not big favorites to win AFC West
While the Chiefs have won six straight division titles, they have won the least amount of the current four teams. The Raiders and Chargers have both won 15 of the AFC West division titles. The Broncos have won 10, while the Chiefs have won just 8. The Seattle Seahawks have just two but were not in the division for very long.
According to Vegas, the Kansas City Chiefs have an over-under number of 11 and are projected to finish just under 11 wins. As for the rest of the AFC West, it's going to be a tight race. The Los Angeles Chargers have an over-under number of 10, the Broncos 10, and the Raiders 8.5.
It may be a smart move to bet the under on the Chiefs win total. When you take a look at the division, all of the other teams are respectable, unlike in recent years.
Over the last few years, there has always been a team within the division that was almost guaranteed to give the Chiefs two wins. Now, none of the six games they play against these teams are guaranteed. The Chiefs need this draft to hit, so they can continue to add pieces to help them this upcoming season because it will be no cakewalk in this division.
