The Kansas City Chiefs are continuing to meet with prospects as we are less than three weeks away from the 2025 NFL Draft.
According to a report from Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, Kansas City has hosted Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins on a top-30 visit.
What is a top-30 visit?
A top-30 visit denotes one of the 30 prospect visits allowed for teams during the pre-draft period. The Chiefs host prospects varying from potential first-round selections to those who go undrafted, providing them a glimpse into NFL life in Kansas City. Although no on-field workouts will occur, teams can utilize this opportunity to conduct meetings with coaching staff for film analysis, perform physical exams with team doctors, tour the facilities, and more.
How does Ingram-Dawkins fit with the Chiefs?
Ingram-Dawkins is a prototypical DL for Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo — from his long 6-foot-5 frame, to his versatility of being able to play defensive tackle or defensive end. Spagnuolo loves to move his linemen around to different spots based off whatever situation the defense is in.
K.C. doesn't have a lot of DL who are under contract past 2025. After getting his feet wet as a rotational player and special teams contributor as a rookie, Ingram-Dawkins could be put into a starting role in 2026. He would be a natural replacement for Charles Omenihu, who plays DE in base formations and moves inside during clear pass rush situations.
Ingram-Dawkins placed second among all DTs at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in athleticism score. He has a quick first step, and good bend as a pass rusher. Where he lacks is experience, only having 37 games under his belt at Georgia, with just 10 starts. However, Ingram-Dawkins would be able to ease in and develop behind a veteran-filled Chiefs' DL. K.C. may have to spend its No. 63 or 66th overall pick to get him.
