Both teams have significant injury concerns heading into the game. The Chiefs' ideal starting left tackle and a key piece in their defensive secondary won't play. Meanwhile, the Texans ruled out four players on Thursday, including two starters and two key depth players.

Observations:
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and WR Hollywood Brown are both ACTIVE. It's the first regular-season game that Brown has been active for.
This game marks the third consecutive week that DE Joshua Uche will be inactive. Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo spoke about the situation with Uche last week.
LT D.J. Humphries and DB Chamarri Conner will have a chance to make their return to the field on Wednesday for Week 17's game against the Steelers.
Texans TE Cade Stover remains out after emergency appendectomy surgery last week.
Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair is already out of the Week 16 game due to suspension. Texans LB Christian Harris was a late addition to the injury report for the Texans on Friday with a lower-body injury. He'll play, but he might not be 100%.
