KC Chiefs’ inactive players list will make Week 16’s tilt with Tennessee Titans feel like a preseason game
The Kansas City Chiefs have an All-Star inactive players list for Week 16 vs. the Tennessee Titans.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans have each released their inactive players lists ahead of their Week 16 tilt at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday.
For the Chiefs, Week 16’s game might more closely resemble a preseason game than what fans are used to seeing this time of the year. They’ve got a lot of injuries to deal with, but their No. 1 goal right now should be to learn as much as they can about the young players on their roster for the future. Two of their decisions prove that’s not quite the case yet in Kansas City. As for the Titans, they’re looking to build some momentum under an interim head coach, a two-win team that had higher expectations in their first season with 2025’s No. 1 overall draft pick, QB Cam Ward.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the inactive players’ lists for both teams.
Chiefs’ inactive players for Week 16
- CB Trent McDuffie
- OT Jaylon Moore
- WR Tyquan Thornton
- WR Rashee Rice
- DT Derrick Nnadi
- OL C.J. Hanson
- RB Dameon Pierce
The players who are on this list for the Chiefs don’t even fully represent the number of starters they’re missing in this game. They’ll be without their starting quarterback, left tackle, right tackle, one starting wide receiver, one starting cornerback, one starting linebacker, and one starting defensive tackle for this game.
Unfortunately, fans won’t get a chance to see some young players like C.J. Hanson and Dameon Pierce in action for this game. Pierce’s inactivity leaves just two running backs available for Sunday: Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt. C.J. Hanson being a healthy scratch is likely due to RG Trey Smith now being healthy.
Titans’ inactive players for Week 16
- S Erick Hallett II
- G Drew Moss
- G Garreett Dellinger
- T Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
- DT Cam Horsley
- LB Cedric Gray
Tennessee is dealing with quite a few injuries at the safety position as things currently stand. That’s the area to attack if you’re the Chiefs’ backup QB, Gardner Minshew.
