The Kansas City Chiefs have made some late decisions regarding their injury report ahead of Sunday night's divisional-round game with the Buffalo Bills.

The team announced a trio of injury updates on Saturday, with one player being ruled out of the game and two more being designated as questionable. They had already ruled out three players and listed another two as questionable on Friday.

WR Kadarius Toney, who has missed a lot of time with hip and ankle injuries lately, was ruled out of the game. I was told earlier in the week that it'd be a stretch for him to play and that WR Justyn Ross had a much better chance of playing this week. Chiefs fans won't be crying over that one as Toney had a costly error in the first meeting with the Bills back in Week 14.

Additionally, the Chiefs have ruled LB Willie Gay Jr. (neck) and DE Charles Omenihu (illness) as questionable. Gay Jr. popped up on Friday's injury report with a new neck injury, but he was not listed with a game status for Sunday initially.

Omenihu was on the injury report with a hamstring injury this week. The illness is a new development, but it's not something that should keep him out of the game. In fact, I'm told that both Omenihu and Gay Jr. should be able to play on Sunday night. The lack of corresponding moves to elevate players from the practice squad should also tell you as much.

Their addition to the injury report with game status designations is more about procedure and following NFL protocols than anything else. Obviously, it's never a good sign to have late additions and changes to the injury report, but this is not a "the sky is falling" situation for Kansas City. They're simply doing things by the book.
