The Kansas City Chiefs completed their final practice session ahead of their Week 9 game on "Monday Night Football" against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Following practice on Saturday, Chiefs HC Andy Reid announced that WR JuJu Smith-Schuster would ruled out of the game due to his hamstring injury. He also confirmed the worst about TE Jared Wiley, who suffered a serious knee injury during Friday's practice.
"The latest one was (Jared) Wiley," Reid said. "Jared Wiley at practice tore his ACL, non-contact, and it's one of those freak things. So he'll go through that whole process."
As for those concerned about Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, he's worn a pretty substantial wrap on his ankle throughout the practice week. KC Star reporter Jesse Newell captured this photo at practice on Saturday:
Reid said that the ankle injury hasn't slowed down Mahomes at all.

Observations:
- Wiley joins Fortson as the second tight end to suffer a season-ending knee injury this week. Chiefs HC Andy Reid says the team will call up Peyton Hendershot from the practice squad for Week 9.
- Nazeeh Johnson and Mike Danna are both making progress, but it sounds like they'll opt to wait a week and allow both players to get closer to 100%.
- Reid also noted that Smith-Schuster's hamstring was improving.
