The Kansas City Chiefs continued the week with their third padded practice of training camp. They'll likely finish up the week with a padless 10-10-10 practice on Monday before a quick day off on Tuesday.

Saturday's work saw some new injuries (albeit minor injuries) occur during practice. As a result, several players were either non-participants or fully absent from the practice field on Sunday.

Here's a quick look at all the latest injury news from Day 7 of Chiefs training camp:

Several players were absent from practice on Sunday

All of the players who started off training camp on Non-Football Injury/Illness and Physically Unable to Perform lists remain on those lists and out of practice. Those players are S Justin Reid, DE BJ Thompson, DT Derrick Nnadi, CB Jaylen Watson, LG Joe Thuney, and DE Charles Omenihu. A pair of those players could be close to making a return, but Justin Reid is expected to miss the vast majority if not all of training camp.

A lot of players were absent from practice entirely on Sunday, with RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire and WR Hollywood Brown not spotted at all. Each was on the field the day prior and neither left practice early. After practice, the team confirmed that both players missed practice due to illnesses.

Chiefs' star DT Chris Jones did not participate in practice on Sunday. He was spotted coming down the hill without pads and a helmet. He spoke a few times ahead of training camp about trying to convince Andy Reid to give him a veteran rest day. This isn't that, however. Chiefs HC Andy Reid after practice said that he has a groin strain.

"We all have groins, but he has a sore groin," Reid quipped.

Justin Watson (foot) remained sidelined by his injury. He had his helmet when he came down the hill, but he wasn't wearing any pads. During practice, Watson got some individual work with the training staff on the sidelines. He's clearly nearing his return after injuring himself on Wednesday

Nazeeh Johnson (hamstring, knee) did not participate in practice after leaving early on Saturday. He was spotted coming down the hill ahead of practice with no helmet. They'll likely ease him back into action from this one with the team's first preseason game coming up quickly on Aug. 10.
