The Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) are set to hit the road to face the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) in Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Kansas City lost their home opener on Super Bowl banner night, but they're favorites for their first road game of the season. Jacksonville opened the season with a pretty impressive win against the Indianapolis Colts, where they slammed the door shut with 14 points scored in the fourth quarter.

According to the folks at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chiefs are 2.5-point favorites over the Jaguars in Week 2. The over/under point total is 51 points, the highest of the week so far. The Kansas City moneyline is currently listed at -142, giving the Chiefs a 58.68% implied win probability.

Kansas City is 0-1 against the spread this season and 0-1 on the over through one week.

The Chiefs faced the Jaguars twice last season, once in the regular season and once in the playoffs, but both games occurred at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City won 27-17 during the regular season matchup. They won again during the playoffs, 27-20, in the divisional round. Patrick Mahomes suffered an ankle injury in the playoff game and was replaced by Chad Henne for most of the second quarter before returning to the game.

The last time Kansas City went on the road to play in Jacksonville was Sept. 8, 2019. Mahomes also suffered an ankle injury during that game, but he threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Chiefs to a 40-26 win.

After the disappointing loss to the Lions in Week 1, K.C. will need a good week of practice if they're to live up to expectations on the road against the Jags in Week 2.
