The Kansas City Chiefs started the season slowly, but after facing a bad Chicago Bears team last week, it would appear they are back on track. Now they have another bad team lined up on their schedule, the New York Jets.

The Jets lost Aaron Rodgers four snaps into the season, and since then, they have struggled to move the ball on offense. But they do have a great defense, as everyone around the league knows.

But, there is one issue for the Jets this Sunday – they are playing against the best player in football, Patrick Mahomes, and he isn't like these other quarterbacks that the Jets have played.

Their head coach knows that, though.

"Patrick Ma-homie? He's a special talent. Some of the throws he makes are disgusting from a defensive perspective, but they're super talented," Robert Saleh said on Wednesday. "He knows how to bide time and the offense. They've done a really nice job since the last time we had the chance to play them back in the Super Bowl, but their o-line (offensive line) is really talented, much more talented than it was; the skill guys have speed (Travis) Kelce's gotten a heck of a lot better, that back, number 10, he's an absolute dog with the ball in his hands, a very physical runner."

"And then, of course, Andy (Reid), sometimes I wonder if he just draws it in the dirt as the game goes on, with some of the concepts that they have, but it's going to be a challenge, for sure."

The Jets will have a lot to worry about regarding their defense. The Chiefs scored 37 total points in the first two weeks, and by halftime against the Bears, they already had 34. This offense is feeling themselves after getting 41 against Chicago.

However, how Saleh describes Patrick Mahomes is different from any other coach. He said the throws Mahomes makes are "disgusting," which is a fancy way of saying he is just too good and makes throws that shouldn't be made, like last week when he threw a rope to Justin Watson on the sideline.

Last week, though, the Chiefs did a lot of work on the ground, and it seems like they are starting to find that balance they needed. All three running backs scored a touchdown, four total between the three of them. While Mahomes can make crazy throws, and he did his fair share of the damage last Sunday, Andy Reid may just hit them on the chin with a run up the middle.

But, yes, Mahomes is disgusting.
